Ethan is doing so good right now. He is just generally content. He’s helpful around the house. He’s curious about everything and delighted by all sorts of things. He’s sweet with Matthew. He has endless fun playing his imaginary games, or on his computer or with his friends.

For a long time he would dissolve into endless stretches of whining fits when he didn’t get his way. Now he has this resigned sigh and he says, “OK.” And he moves on! WOW!

So I told him – Ethan, you are in a magic time right now. You are doing very well in school, but you are still challenged, learning new things every day. You have friends you like to play with. You’re growing, but you feel secure in where you are. There are some things you don’t like, some fears that you have, but there’s nothing you can’t handle. Enjoy this!
